Daily Duties at Women And Children Hospital:

Utilizes various testing standards and methods to test in-process products ensuring that products meet customer standards and applications. · Conducts various stability tests to identify product trends and validate product stability and establish shelf life of finished product. · Monitors in-process operations to ensure that product continues to satisfy customer specifications as well as recommends process modifications in order to ensure that test results satisfy customer requirements. · Recommends that in-process operations be discontinued if test results identify significant problems . 2. Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control laboratory 3.Practices proper safety procedures in handling and storage of chemicals, reagents, and other potentially hazardous substances. · Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe work laboratory environment. · Manages laboratory inventory and orders all consumables for the Quality Control laboratory. · Ensures that the laboratory instruments and equipment are in proper working order and troubleshoots malfunctions when needed. · Troubleshoot analytical instrumentations as needed. · Conducts lab quality control audits, verification and archiving of laboratory samples. · Assigns lab technician proficient testing for continued education· Trains lab technician on laboratory and safety procedures and testing protocol. ·Frequent contact with Lab Directors for guidance and direction and to provide updates. b. Frequent contact with doctors, nurses, or clients to resolve testing problems and verified results. Frequent contact with Shift Supervisors to provide in-process lab testing results and interpretation and answer questions. 2. Knowledge of the operation and interpretation of results or outputs of laboratory analysis 4. Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and statistics. 5. Ability to articulate ideas and information verbally and in writing in a professional, clear, and concise manner. 6. Strong and thorough troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills. 7. Acts responsibly and takes accountability for safe work practices of self and lab staff. 8. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. 9. Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implements solutions. 10. Ability to work well under pressure and execute competing demands effectively in a fast paced work environment. 11. Effective organizational skills. 12. Ability to follow up and follow through with assigned work tasks on a timely basis. 13. Validation of tests with FDA guidelines.
