Daily Duties at Olin Corporation:
Worked in the Division Technical Support Group to provide technical support to four plants located in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and New York. Facilitated fact based decision making to optimize performance, reduce cost, and improve safety of chlorine processes. Developed methods which can, both practically and functionally, connect complex chemical systems. Provided support for chemists, operators, and production engineers by clarifying/providing explanations of the relationship between the products chemical makeup and its performance, understanding interactions/reactions between the product's chemical components and conditions affecting the product's performance, as well as help define product specifications. Developed specific plans to accomplish project goals. Includes experimental design and execution of bench top, pilot plant, and plant trials. Led Technical Support team to design/develop processes or basic science at bench, pilot plant prototype.
