Daily Duties at Kansas State University:

Responsible for developing value-added products from corn ethanol residue as a research associate in Grain Science Department at Kansas State University. Provided technical support to MGP during the product development stages. Provided monthly report, and quarterly presentation to the management team of MGP. Also compiled the research findings for publication and patent filing. Led a research team of 15 people (visiting professors, Ph.D. scientist, and graduate students) in the maintenance, safety, and environment aspect of lab operation. Mentored junior scientists in carbohydrate researches and analytical chemistries. Represented the research team as the committee member in the departmental safety and environmental committee. Reviewed and approved purchases (less than $100) made by the research team members. Higher ammount purchase was approved by my supervisor. Under the direction of my supervisor, conducted analytical researches for outside company to generate additional revenues for the lab expenses. I have conducted starch analysis, water solubility analysis, composition analysis for food companies, such as Frito-Lay, Manildra for their products that were under development.
