Daily Duties at Star Island Resort & Spa:
Directed the efficient management and profitable operation of a resort with 1,100 luxury villas, as well as the teams under the Engineering and Rooms Divisions. Entrusted with the administration of a $5 million annual budget; mentored 10 members of the Management Team and a support staff of 300. Maximized profitability while ensuring compliance with Star Island's high quality standards of comfort, service and performance. Reviewed operational reports and functions and provided direction to ensure efficiency, including guest service amenities, labor costs, inventory and procurement, and equipment maintenance. Provided opportunities for employee development, incentives, and rewards; responded to guest concerns and complaints, mediated disputes, and promoted positive guest interactions.
