Daily Duties at Sysco Corporation:
I was promoted to develop and deploy an optimization strategy for a $6 billion region (20 states) experiencing lack of leadership and customer confidence. Over a three-year period, I reduced logistics costs by $40 million through partnership development, load sharing, order pattern changes, mileage reduction and fewer distribution stops. Also, I partnered in deploying the transportation management solution in Canada. I was responsible for taking over a region that was not meeting results and I put together a strategy to change approach so that those companies would meet results. We were very successful and each new DC met YOY margin growth expectations. My daily tasks were talking to Presidents and VP of DC's about issues or concerns. Using my team to resolve those issues. Putting together a strategy to meet plan goals. Developed metrics to track performance to plan. Managed an Expense budget for my team of 12 people who traveled every week.
