Daily Duties at Zap, Inc:
Design, source, import and market personal electronics, and personal transportation. Worked to create Packaging art and text with the graphic design department for Portable Energy and the Zappy Scooter line. Created all collateral material with the graphic design department. Maintained all key account relationships. Entered the eCommerce marketplace with an aggressive drop ship program to leverage big ticket electric scooter sales everywhere. Oversaw all financial issues with regards to Import and initial factoring opportunity for the Canadian Tire opening orders. Did all collections and oversaw Invoicing. Used the Mass 90 system to maintain customer relationships, control inventory and do ordering for both domestic and overseas suppliers. oversaw all trade show activity. Macworld, Retailvision and others. product introduction. Introduced the first line up of all electric Street legal scooters with speeds up to 45 MPH and 100 mile range. Worked with the engineering department to upgrade the battery management system and switch to Lithium batteries. Kept the Portable Energy line compatible with all current and emerging smart phone and laptop models. Oversaw all sales both direct and through distribution. Direct interface with all Asia factories. Oversaw the QC process on all goods.
