Daily Duties at Rite Aid Pharmacy:
Performed all duties relating to filing, and verifying prescriptions within all applicable Federal, State, and Local guidelines. -Evaluated prescriptions for accuracy, validity, and appropriateness to patients chronic condition. -Created and Implemented a Blood Pressure and Blood glucose monitoring screening underprivileged patients in Essex County, NJ, which increased the business by 25% in 1997. -Started a "Brown Bag" program where patients were able to bring in their medications for review. This led to a greater presence in the community as a healthcare leader, thereby generating traffic for the whole building and increasing basket size for front end sales. -Spoke at outreach program in Nursing homes in Essex and Middlesex counties in NJ, on topics such as Asthma, Diabetes, and Urinary Retention. In depth experience as a Health care professional in urban markets, by traveling around Essex and Hudson Counties in NJ, strategically analyzing under performing stores and created an action plan for senior management to implement. This led to healthier stores in the district overall from employee churn, to the P&L of the district.
