Daily Duties at Emw, Inc:
Was part of a 4 person team responsible for the pulling, placement, installation, termination, troubleshooting, and repair CAT 5/5e/6 (twisted pair) and Fiber Optic (single and multi-mode) cables. The work also involved but was not limited to the installation of switches in communication closets. All work was assigned by the Project Manager for either individual assignments or team assignments. Received training using Corning Unicam connectors for terminating both Single and Multi-mode fiber optic cables. Used the Fujikura S40 single strand splicer for fiber optic repairs. Terminated CAT 5/5e/6 twisted pair cables to EIA/TIA standards. Used company supplied Fluke CAT 5e/6 testers for testing and verification of termination of the cables. Labeled fiber optic cables according to industry standards.
