Daily Duties at Arlington Fire Department:

My responsibilities are personal safety, saving victims' lives and property preservation, as well as protecting the environment. Provide basic life support when needed, public education and awareness, search and rescue, fire suppression in both residential and commercial structural settings, and aircraft or automotive extrication of victims. Renewal of perishable firefighting skills as mandated by local, State, and Federal laws. Inspection and certification of hydrants, hose, and related firefighting & rescue equipment on an annual schedule. Fire inspection of local residence (on request), businesses, medical facilities, and institutions and most major public access facilities. Active in a variety of community fund raisers and charitable events.
