Daily Duties at Dignity Health/Chw Medical Foundation:

Conducted crisis counseling with incarcerated youth in challenging fluid political environment with multiple agendas by California State, Sacramento City, Sacramento County, Dignity Health, and oversight stakeholders Trained group facilitators and successfully deployed organizational agendas of compassionate care in youth detention facility (200+ beds) environment focused on accountability and aversive behavior modification Mitigated tense relationships between youth and probation staff Intervened in situations of self-harm, harm to others, suicide, and acts of desperation Co-developed intervention programming and administered program for wards transferring to group home environments; mentored and trained less experienced staff in safety and security principles as well as appropriate facility behavior Consulted and coached probation and medical staff struggling with malingering and manipulative behavior on-site and at local youth mental facilities Served three years as lead clinician for placement program, developing and overseeing program for youth leaving incarceration and beginning group home placement Moved up and down chain of command to serve mental health program agendas and advocate for youth offenders
