Daily Duties at Oklahoma Health Care Authority:
· As Senior Research Associate, coordinated the day-to-day operations of the project, reporting for both internal and external partners, handling intakes, coordinating with the other research associates on the project, maintaining an active caseload of 60-75 persons both pursuing transition to community living and those who have transitioned to community living, and serving as liaison to the Centers for Independent Living in the state. · Led the Project as Director for two years. · Served as the direct link for the project to the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), the grant-funding source. · Educated team members in all facets of the project, providing outreach to providers through training and other resources, liaison with other state governmental agencies involved with our members, reporting to the State Medicaid Director, the Board of Directors, the Living Choice Advisory Committee, other state agencies, and CMS and its contractors who oversaw various parts of the project. · Hired new team members as funding permitted. · Presented at the Project Directors’ Summit in Baltimore, Maryland, in October 2012 on Community Back-Up Plans and other emergency systems. · Began as a Research Associate responsible for all data related tasks to move the Money Follows the Person grant project (branded in Oklahoma as the Living Choice Project) from grant award to startup. · Served as liaison to the Information Services division for all related system updates (MMIS, Atlantes Care Management System, and other systems). · Served as the Atlantes Care Management System super user for the Living Choice Project and the Long-Term Care Waiver Operations division (formerly the Opportunities for Living Life division). · Developed and implemented databases in Access to track our members, modified other databases for more structured reporting, and was responsible for the collection of the Quality of Life Surveys, entering the data from them into a contracted database, and reporting that data on a quarterly basis.
