1. Administer randomization for incoming clients in a randomized control trial, piloting the TRIMM mHealth intervention among inner-city Baltimore for adults at risk of, or having type-2 diabetes 2. Development of a user-friendly, semi-individualized mHealth intervention to facilitate weight loss among underserved. 3. Created an innovative text-messaging template 4. Work with a doctor to co-write text messages based on research and health communications theories and behavior change models. 5. Recruit participants from Baltimore city churches. Collect base line measures of height and weight to determine that study Body Mass Index criteria was meet to enter the study.
