Daily Duties at Awi/White Rose Inc.:
Managed staff and operations for optimal inventory control for an average of 2M cases, which equates to $45M in an 810K square foot grocery warehouse. Supervised and directed staff of 6 management and 14 union workers. Coached and mentored personnel and supported bonus program with 4 levels of 10 different categories for quarterly goal attainment. Accountable for product selection, inventory control, salvage, stocking, buying, receipt, and returns. Drafted, instituted, and updated all policies and procedures for uniformity and consistency of inventory control. Addressed and resolved any shipping/receiving errors and maintained quality control on over 13K items. Controlled and monitored vendor returns, placed new items, and responded to buyer requests on discontinuing items and product checks. Handled Human Resources functions for time and attendance records and performance measurement standards. Created and published daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Inventory Control. Attended frequent staff meetings with upper management and held monthly meetings with employees for information sharing and continuous process improvement. Implemented and controlled all facets of the company’s Grocery physical inventory taken 2X yearly. Assumed additional responsibilities for Pallet Control at WR Grocery and administered all pallet inventories yearly at all 3 WR Divisions. Managed Salvage and Returns Department and set-up all operational processes and procedures for same. Sourced and purchased all office and warehouse supplies with a continuous eye on cost control.
