Daily Duties at Verizon Commuinications:
Create a classroom environment to train Fiber Network Technicians and Customer Service associates for Verizon FiOS Deliver 8 weeks of Network training to new employees in the position of Customer Service Agent or Fiber Network Technician This involves 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks face to face delivery and testing of up to 26 adult students. I gave out the official tests, monitored all testing on a weekly basis and scored the tests to track trainee progress. Traveled all over US Verizon sites to provide hands on training in the use of multiple systems in support of FiOS and provisioning of FiOS. Read and updated outdated training materials and ensured all 8 binders per student had the appropriate material provided. Administered quizzes and games to aid in learning, provided video instruction in addition to face to face class time. Trained 10 ladies from teh old 411 system how to use a mouse and do due changes in support of FiOS - one of my most wonderful groups I trained. These ladies had been at Verizon 20 years and had never used a mouse or computer. They were being moved into a new position to let them finish out their time to retirement as the 411 jobs were being reduced. Trained multiple new FiOS trainers on delivery and testing of the content, had them sit out on the floor with the technicians and listen in on calls and take notes, sent them on FiOS Installs to learn the network. Reading from the manuals that were written by non Fiber network techs was not sufficient to train these employees to Verizon's high standards. Worked with the curriculum and design team to re vamp teh networ training and correct the information in the manuals. Re wrote the training manuals and aided in moving the entire teaching process online to a sharepoint site and using Captivate for step by step videos and providing all documentation online.

You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
