Daily Duties at Mercer Mastery:

I was hired to perform as an acting consultant in many areas of the consulting field. As a Health and Benefits lead Consultant, I Prepared agendas and lead client/team meetings with projects and deadlines utilizing project management tools. I ensured compliance with professional standards including use of templates, client calendar, peer review, and transparency. I Managed the development of the employee communications strategy and would oversee other team members in the execution of this strategy including management of open enrollment process. I was responsible for engagement letter process including the confirmation of our specific scope of services, compensation type and level, project timeframe and required data. I was Accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts. and I also Established necessary carrier/vendor relationships with appropriate contacts to serve clients in handling all administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes and necessary amendments. I Solved client issues: The client will call to get help with service or claims issues such as when a claim hasn't been paid or is not paid correctly or is denied. The client may call or email consultant directly and the I would determine if the issue should be delegated to the analyst. If the analyst cannot resolve the issue, I would then contact carriers and vendors on behalf of the client to resolve these issues. I Worked directly with the client and managed the request for proposal (RFP) process with the health insurance carriers and internal analyst by reviewing the analyst's compilation of the health benefits information from a variety of sources, the responses from the carriers and the data in a spreadsheet template, reviewing the transparency documents and maintaining all appropriate documents in proper files. When the process is completed by the analyst, I peer reviewed the information, analyzed and interpreted the results, I edited and finalized the executive summary report to be sent to the client. I Reviewed claim and utilization data from insurance carriers on a monthly/quarterly basis that had been input into a standardized report template by the analyst; analyzed and interpreted data for trends; peer review customized, client ready reports, submitted reports to clients and replied to any questions the client had. I Reviewed the summary plan description, plan documents and all filings. I Reviewed SPD, plan documents for compliance and compares to the benefits that were sold to the client. Ensured all benefits were accurately reflected, following a checklist to ensure that all necessary information was included where appropriate. Follow up with the carriers to make sure necessary changes were reflected. I Generated new sales through existing clients and client referrals in accordance with the sales plan using Helping Clients Succeed and Mercer client management and sales training skills. I Introduced other Mercer Transitions, Mercer Financial Planning, and products and services to clients. I Gathered health and welfare benefits data from a national survey administered by a strategy of top executives, and input it into a template and compares a client's plan information to other companies by industry or geography. Interprets results and present the information to the client. My responsibilities as The Implementation Consultant, I was responsible for the management of the complete implementation process under the supervision of the Project Manager. I was responsible for ensuring the success of our customers by providing both onsite and remote support throughout the process. I was Responsible for serving as trainer and consultant with respect to database configuration and end user workflow as well as provide documentation for on-going maintenance of tables to the client and customer support. I Employed analytical skills and knowledge of the software to make recommendations for optimal system configuration and end user workflow to meet client-specific needs. My Schedule system configuration training sessions with clients on assigned tables/functionality based on pre-defined Implementation Roll-out Option selected by client. I Served as the customer’s onsite application expert, ensuring that system setup and ancillary services meet the customer’s expectations. By Assessing customer training requirements and, in conjunction with the Project Manager, I prepared implementation objectives and agendas. We Coordinated and conducted check point calls during the Consulting training program. (IC Calls) I Provided ongoing support to the customer prior to the transition to Mercer Affiliates. I provided departmental performance objectives for service level and customer satisfaction surveys and contributed to continuing development of implementation team processes, and service offerings. I Maintained open communication with Project Manager throughout the implementation process providing regular updates. As the Business Consultant (Medical and Dental Products and Services) My Job Description was focused on marketing and sales effectiveness. I delivered Business Consulting group solutions to a broad spectrum of marketing and sales challenges. I also help our clients transform their marketing and sales organizations to implement these solutions. Mercer's solutions and recommendations were based in rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership .As a Dental Consultant I Managed administrative and case management issues as well as data processing activities on a daily basis. I Monitored project schedules to ensure timelines and deliverables were met; notified project manager or client if timelines were in jeopardy. Tested and analyzed system configuration against requirement documents during implementation and administration. Used Mercers sophisticated database of tools to set up a client's healthcare & group benefits database; defined data fields, imported data, designed screens and create queries and reports. Meet with project managers and clients to define project scope and objectives. I prepared work plans, while documenting project's scope and reviewed with client(s).
