• Created database and performed data collection, integration and management on firms that recently saw an investor change of SEC filing from 13-G (passive investor) to 13-D (active investor); analyzed the data and backtested the new strategy to invest in the target firm after the filing change, which generated a considerable alpha; the strategy could be used to launch a new fund in the market • Analyzed work experience of state governors in all 50 states by using SAS and STATA and found that prior private sector work experience especially in business and law fields, adds a statistically significant advantage in elections; summarized the analysis results into a report and proposed some improvements aiming to improve the probability of win in elections
