Daily responsibilities include managing patient flow, conflict management, and fiscal responsibilities. In addition, maintaining staff competencies, have monthly staff meetings, perform and updated and created competencies and policies, resolved staff conflicts and perform evaluations. Interdepartmental collaboration with the education, respiratory, and pharmacy, and anesthesia departments and the Director of Surgery to create new policies and procedures, and add health stream modules, nurse competencies, and new policies and procedures. Collaborated with the OR clinical coordinator to facilitate change and implement new procedures in the unit such as a recycling program to underdeveloped countries.
