Daily Duties at Bank Of New York Mellon:
Corrected cash flow models. Once we diagnosed the issues, we had to go through the shelf of similar deals to ensure that they were updated otherwise incorrect payments would be make causing monetary and reputational risk to the bank. This was an ongoing process which took about a year to complete. UDT's - All of our deal that were processed using excel were eliminated and transferred to a database for running our cashflows. There were over 2000 UDT's which were converted, this conversion took over 2 years to complete. My responsibility was to go through all of the excel spreadsheets and determine which were a high priority to convert. Ability to take responsibility for completing tasks on time and deliver high quality with little supervision. Able to analyze original, non-routine complex business problems on a timely, and orderly manner. Share specific analytical expertise, any useful know how, and ideas to improve group operations, and be an analytical role model for junior analysts Is familiar with the various legal documents pages/exhibits/schedules (Prospectus and Pooling and Servicing Agreements) Provides input on process/workflow improvements and procedure/policy changes Provides clear and well-organized documentation. Researches financial transactions and has the ability to work overtime during the distribution of funds to bond holders. Troubleshoot models for inconsistencies and made sure models complied with the cashflows within the legal documents.
