Daily Duties at Ibm:
As an IBM employee my duties included IPLing the mainframe, I was one of four z/OS system programmers that the customer had in this branch and the only contractor. I installed, tested, and placed products into production. I was scheduled to build and deliver a complete z/OS operating system using the System Modification Program/Extended (SMP/E). I investigated system problems, found and installed fixes from the IBM PTF database or created Job Control Language (JCL) to run jobs to fix the problem. I worked with catalogs and corrected problems and added aliases and other entries. I worked briefly with the Virtual Machine (VM) system that was recently created on the mainframe. I added new user accounts to the system and reset passwords and assisted users with other problems.
