Daily Duties at U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers (249th Engineer Battalion):
Supervise the installation, operation and maintenance of power plants from 3.5MW to 7MW and related equipment and systems. Select sites for power plants. Interpret electrical, mechanical, and wiring diagrams. Troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AC/DC motors. Make periodic inspections to ensure that all equipment and controls are operating properly. Report defects and recommend improvements, alterations and repairs. Prepare written reports on ongoing projects and condition of equipment.
