Responded to an average of 85 to 95 Medicare calls daily; investigated and resolved claims issues subscribers had with insurance plans and providers. This included, but was not limited to, benefit information, eligibility, authorization, and other related matters from providers, members, and health plan representatives. Accessed online member and provider information by using EZ CAP and maintained full compliance with HIPAA regulations and CMS guidelines. Supported company during annual open enrollment/annual disenrollment periods; communicated plan changes and other options with the Touchstone Medicare Advantage plans. Consulted with callers on coverage’s for medical procedures and adhered to guidelines for legal compliance. Demonstrated keen understanding of medical terminologies and medical billing such as ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding.
