Daily Duties at Kindred Healthcare:

 Full time physical therapy supervisor in long term acute. Supervise staff of 7.  Responsible for daily scheduling and staffing.  Managed a normal caseload of 10-16 patients.  Participate in daily flash meetings and bi-weekly manager meetings.  Conducted initial physical therapy evaluations, wound care evaluations and treatment including modalities such as HVPC, pulsed lavage, sharp debridement, and ultrasound.  Treat patients with orthopedic, cerebral vascular accident, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological, cardiac complications, diabetes, cancer, ALOC, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, respiratory failure, renal failure, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ventilator dependent, medically complex/critically ill patients, Parkinson’s disease, and amputations on medical and ICU units.  Evaluate needs for appropriate assistive device, orthotics, prosthesis, splints, and custom wheelchair during hospital course and prior to discharge.
