Daily Duties at Epson America :

Oversaw engineering teams in multiple sites in US and Canada. Responsible for hardware and software development, technical support and product quality management for point of sales (POS) and business products. • Established the overall objectives, processes and initiatives of the engineering teams; defined and achieved goals based on corporate’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI). • Developed new internal processes to improve communications, productivity and effectiveness of Canadian and US based engineering functions, resulting in dramatic improvement in completing project on time, within budget and achieving the performance goals. • Evaluated, approved and managed development of custom solutions for standard products, adding features to meet special customer requirements, enabling large sales opportunities of more than $10M to close on an annual basis. • Provided pre-sale support for new products; supported customers with implementing solutions based on our products. • Identified new applicable technologies for future products, developed proof of concept, and collaborated with product managers in development of new products features. • Collaborated with Seiko-Epson headquarters in Japan, sales and marketing teams in the US and counterpart organizations in Latin America and Europe for development of product and technology roadmaps and new business development. • Provided technical support to institutional customers and cross-functional teams of sales, product management, product configuration, and service to achieve business results. Planned and delivered technical training programs.
