Daily Duties at Smithfield Foods, Inc.:
As the CFO of the pork group I had full responsibility of managing the finance and Information technology function of the pork processing segment of the company which represented $8 billion in revenues. The Pork Processing Segment consisted of 3 independent operating companies. My direct reports were the 3 CFO's of these operating companies (Farmland Foods, John Morrell & Co., Smithfield Packing). I reported directly to the President of the Smithfield Pork Group. Strategic planning, Return on Invested Capital, Financial reporting, financial policies, information technology strategy and investment, human resource development and management and design of the Pork Groups incentive programs.
