Daily Duties at Palm Springs General Hospital:
Responsible for overseeing activities in controlled environment room ( ISO5/ISO7 and Laminar airflow Isolator) in order to prepare the compounding sterile products for hospital patients. All activities are performed under cGMP and Joint Commission recommendations. • Responsible for the development of the compounding process standardization, batch and patient-specific compounding records. • Currently working on the development of Standard Operation Procedures for the manufacturing process, environment control and cleaning of the room and hood according to the USP 797. • Responsible for inventory control of all medications and supplies to ensure efficient activities and the prompt delivery of all Compounding Sterile Products according to patients’ needs. • Responsible for maintaining IV preparation records for tracking purposes and possible recall events. • Responsible for filling, packaging, labeling and stocking unit dose carts from patients’ profile cards or computerized pick list and for providing cart to nursing unit according to predetermined schedule. • Super User of SIMPLIFY 797, Program of OneSourcePharmacy Group.
