Daily Duties at Valdes, Garcia, Marin & Martinez, Llp:
•Successfully conducts extensive audits for key wholesale distribution, real estate management, broadcasting, telecommunications, manufacturing, and insurance claim private companies, as well as governmental agencies and public corporations with $250M in sales. •Delivers comprehensive accounting services to retail stores, and due diligence engagements. •Orchestrates all aspects of each audit, which requires establishing an audit strategy, evaluating the audit risk, and establishing an audit plan. •Produces auditor reports on financial statements. •Oversees the preparation of individual, property, municipal, and corporate tax returns for both Puerto Rico and the Federal Government. •Continually reviews compliance and internal oversight of federal programs to ensure alignment with OMB Circular A-133 – Single Audit Engagements. •Coordinates all aspects of agreed upon procedures and engagements. •Actively manages and mentors the team of staff auditors.
