Daily Duties at Lumen Data Inc.:
• Proactively interacted with clients and gathered functional requirements Master Data Management projects. • Managed millions of records and maintained customer databases via BigData, SIEBEL-UCM and Oracle databases. • Laid the BigData foundations by setting up Hadoop clusters/nodes (Single Node, Distributed nodes) and gained experience in administering Hadoop ecosystem in Linux/Unix environments. • Actively engaged in Java coding to set up Map-Reduce phases. • Installed and worked on HIVE and PIG tools to retrieve customer information. • Installed and maintained HBase db. Gained knowledge on other BigData databases while working and these include Redis, Cassandra, Couch, and InfiniteGraph dbs. • Used Sqoop to import/export customer information from BigData. • Monitored the BigData ecosystem tools via Zookeeper. Gained knowledge on other monitoring tools – Nagios and Ganglia. • Engaged in ETL functionalities by using Informatica (Siperian, PIM) and Oracle ETL tools (DRM, EDQ) • Involved in SQL and PL SQL programming. • Provided round the clock active production support to clients. • Prepared functional, technical and end user training document. • Performed functional testing and generated test scripts.
