Daily Duties at I Health Technologies, Inc.:
Developed outpatient coding guidelines for the OPPS, I/OCE and ASC Quarterly updates. I reviewed and created an in-depth analysis of the codes for each quarter. Maintained several data files in the company mainframe (e.g., Medicare Fee Schedule (MFS)), I/OCE, ASC, DME, GPCI, ZIP5, ZIP9, ASP Drugs, Clinical Laboratory and CCI-Professional and Outpatient), as well, as other proprietary tables within the company. Reviewed all updated transmittals, making an in-depth review of the changes and coding guidelines. Conducted ongoing research on coding and billing of the company’s internal medical policies ensuring compliance with CMS, NCD's, LCD's, IOM's, the Federal Register, Uniform Billing Editor, Coding Edge, AMA Coding Assistant, along with other coding regulation resources. I coded and researched medical specialties’ that included Outpatient Hospital, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Clinical Laboratory, Psychology, Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Evaluation and Management. In addition, addressed client coding questions to ensure that they were following the appropriate billing/coding guidelines.
What they like about I Health Technologies, Inc.:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
