Daily Duties at City Of Seattle Transportation Department:
• Process monthly progress payments for County construction contractors. Perform final audits on construction contracts, which include calculating earthwork quantities, reconciling expenditures against As-Built records, and ensuring project Ledger Book consistency with Daily and Drainage Field Notes Record. • Monitor contractor compliance of the Department’s Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise program. Assist in the management of City construction projects including: community outreach, value engineering, and project funding. Coordinate Division’s professional development seminar. • Provide field sampling of concrete material and perform slump, compression, air content, and unit weight tests. Drill asphalt core samples and perform emulsion test. Collect Mineral Aggregates samples and perform gradation, weight fracture, and sand equivalent tests. Maintain approved engineering records for samples and test results. Supported and maintained all functions of the PeopleSoft accounts payable module and its interfaces with purchasing and asset management.
