Daily Duties at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch:
House Parent – responsible for the care and supervision of 24 children ages 12 thru 18. (1992-1996) Cook – Responsible for feeding entire Ranch population (approx. 600 to 700 children and adults), and training children to be cooks and establish good work ethics. (1996-2000) Assistant Manager – Responsible for managing the entire Food Service operation, including all ordering and inventory control of $1,000,000.00 plus food budget. I was Supervisor for 6 adult workers. I was responsible for maintaining and ordering all new Kitchen and Meat Cutting Shop equipment. Worked directly with the Contracting Officer to insure proper documentation and that the correct items were ordered for the Kitchen. Upon receiving the new equipment, was responsible for inspecting the new equipment and making sure that it met all the requirements specified in the contract before the item was received and delivered to the Kitchen. (2000-2005)
