Daily Duties at Merck (Formerly Shering Plough):
• Managed, troubleshoot and resolve departmental incident and problem tickets associated with the use of Corporate Coding Control customized (CCC) application. • Evaluated the validated state of EDMS by initiating, collecting, collating, reviewing and evaluating Periodic Review and Performance Monitoring reports written and submitted annually for each site by site administrator’s to Global Quality Systems group. • Managed and maintained functional and physical attributes of business systems by controlling changes made to hardware, software, firmware, system documentation, SOP’s and test procedures throughout their life cycle. • Approved updates to requirements and design/functional specifications for planned improvements or corrections to critical applications. • Collaborated with IT group in performing system verification testing to ensure that database patches and OS upgrades have been installed correctly and has no negative impact on the operation of the application. • Responsible for recording Corrective Actions /Preventive Actions (CA/PA) in Trackwise for addressing non-conformance issues affecting systems performance and/or functionality. • Facilitate between business and IT in documenting and assessing risk for critical systems. • Assisted in the escalation and mitigation of incidents in both a formal Test and Production environment. • Departmental systems “Change Owner” responsible for authorizing, initiating and supervising projects for system improvements and for resolving issues that impact the operational use of regulated systems.
