Daily Duties at Astrazeneca:
Guided and managed experimental platform personnel including 6 Oracle DBAs and Unix Administrators while continuing to fulfill full time duties as a Senior Technical Specialist. Provided support and technical management, and developed and implemented a regional support model for North American sites. Performed administrative operations and prepared budget. Served as senior database resource for database environment of 45+ Oracle instances ranging from 30GB to several TB. Managed global Oracle resources for multi-tier enterprise configuration providing access to middle-tier Java and web clients. Provided global partners with consultation and database services, built, implemented, and supported server platforms, OEM Grid control for real time regional monitoring, and multiple hot standby servers for local and global critical applications.
