Daily Duties at Duke Regional Hospital:

• Perform quality abdominal, obstetrical, gynecologic, vascular and small part exams using highly technical skills in accordance to established protocols or physician’s special instructions • Assist with daily operations of ultrasound lab • Perform portable exams at bedside or in operating room under sterile procedure • Assist physicians with ultrasound guided biopsies and fluid aspirations • Provide preliminary interpretations to Radiologists by providing appropriate ultrasound images • Assist with maintaining all equipment associated with ultrasound imaging: recognize equipment malfunctions, institute trouble shooting and communicate with service technicians • Ensure proper charging of each ultrasound exam at completion • Assist with training and teaching new employees and students • Assist with regulatory /accrediting agencies to insure departmental compliance • Consistently recognized by patients, doctors and peers for quality patient care and work ethics • Ability to support and motivate others and inspire teamwork to meet goals and objectives
