Daily Duties at Tcs Associates:

TCS associates calls me and tells me they have a job for me. They tell me where it is, how long the job will be and who it is with. This information varies depending on the contract they won. It is usually with the government, like Vietnam Vets group but it can also be a small business that has a blind person who works for them or a person who needs assistance working with them. When I'm called, I can tell them yes or no to the job. I always say yes because I love training people. I especially enjoy working one on one with people. I have trained a group of people too. I just enjoy working one on one more because you really get to find out about the person and what their needs are. I go into the company, sit down with the client and go through their daily tasks and responsibilities. Then I train them on the software they need to learn. The company has purchased the required software so I Ioad the software on to the client's computer and physically set up the program on their desktop. Then I walk through the program step by step and teach them how to use it. I train on Dragon Naturally Speaking, WYNN, Kurzweil 1000, Kurzweil 3000, JAWS, and Nextalk.This can take from one day to one week depending on how many computers I am setting up and how many people I am teaching. I also write all the training materials, design them and customize it for each client. I want them to be able to work the programs when I'm not there.
