Daily Duties at Hip Of Florida/Vista Health Plan:
• Benefits administration and configuration for over 300,000 members and over 10,000 employer groups and 1,000 employees. • Implementation of Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Large and Small Group products. • Handled employees • Vendor liaison and resolved benefit and claims issues. • Representative at all major project meetings, system conversions and updates. • Managed all contract administration and led open enrollment for large clients. • Manage all HMO, POS, PPO, Medicare and Indemnity Benefits. • Manage and maintain Benefits Subsystem (PowerMHS, QCare, Amisys) • Manage staff of three, Benefits Assistant, Contract Analyst and Benefits Analyst • Develop new Products and create benefit comparisons for Group Administrators • Ensure contract, RFP and benefit compliance • Manage member enrollment materials • Knowledge of HCFA, HIPAA and DOI regulations • Responsible for training staff on benefit system set up and product/plan utilization and design. • Create and Maintain benefit matrices for outside Vendors and Customer Service and other departments • Communicate with Customer Service, Claims, Medical, members and providers. • Grievance and Appeals Committee • Oversee the testing of claims and pre-authorizations in test region to handle new benefits • Expertise with ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPC and revenue codes
