Daily Duties at Professional Service Industries, Inc.:
Reporting to the CFO, responsible for the overall direction of the IT department which includes functions of help desk, desk side services, networking, messaging, servers, voice, security, database and data center services. Establishing strategic relationships, oversight and management of IT outsourcing partners and vendors. Reviewing hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale. Continually improving and maintaining IT infrastructure and architecture including disaster recovery, change management, monitoring, reporting and documentation. Ensuring continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance. Establishing IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Managing 11 staff members and a $2.7M budget within a 3% margin. Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development. Developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Establishing and maintaining strong business partnerships with internal users to fully understand the business and plan those needs into system capabilities. Leading IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
