Daily Duties at National Renewable Energy Laboratory:
Responsible for leading team of subject matter experts and business leaders to develop strategic IT capability roadmaps that support multi-year investment and implementation strategies for the introduction of new (and maintenance of existing) mission-enabling IT capabilities. Identify IT trends and best practices in an effort optimize the delivery of IT products and services. Develop and maintain NREL and Department of Energy (DOE) leadership in Green data center and sustainable IT practices. Develop and present business cases for proposed IT investment. Focused on reducing “time-to-value” for the implementation of projects to improve NREL IT’s responsiveness to dynamic organizational requirements enabling the Laboratory to seize emerging opportunities. Manage the full project life cycle for strategic and high-risk initiatives.
