Daily Duties at Smith & Nephew:

Currently representing Smith & Nephew’s Advance Wound Devices, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy with emphasis on the company’s expansion into a recently de-monopolized segment of medical devices. Serving as product and clinical technical expert with focused responsibility on the surgical marketplace, promoting the company’s products and technology, capital equipment and disposables. Success comes through consultation, in-servicing, and persuasion via excellence in trusted intra-case support provided to surgeons, P.A.’s, and O.R. staff in the operating room, and development of champions out of key acute care facility decision makers. Drawing from over two decades long experience navigating complex IDN landscapes to introduce new products through laborious sales cycles, and GPO contractual environments. The most current position requires close partnership with distribution representatives to disseminate corporately coordinated key influential messaging to our end users, garnering essential tactical support, in addition to my own team of Associate Representative and RN Clinical Consultant. Clinical call points encompass surgeons in specialties of Plastics, Trauma, Orthopedics, General, Cardio-Thoracic, Vascular, Colorectal, and WOCNs. Economic call points include Supply Chain Management, Value Analysis Committees, and Chief Officers.
