Daily Duties at Scientific Games:
I was hired to introduce new products, build new product development partnerships, evaluate and respond to new business potential in the video gaming systems space. I reported to the Vice President of Product Development and met weekly to report status on various projects. My daily activities included: • Responding to government RFPs for lottery systems deals valued between $2-10m; at any time I could be involved with 2- 3 major RFP responses. I worked with the core developers, engineers, legal team, and RFP publishing team to provide a comprehensive RFP response and to plan for onsite presentations at government lottery offices in the US, Canada, Australia, and Finland. • Developing business plans, financial models, and feasibility studies for a new video slot machine business line. This included evaluating product development partners and sourcing development partners to provide ongoing slot game development, a slot machine terminal, and an operating system. The business and feasibility plans were routinely prepared for presentation to executive management. • Reviewing and negotiating proposed partner development contracts, business acquisition opportunities, and patents. • Working with existing customers on product needs analysis, and gathering and writing requirements documents for add-on products for existing and new customers. • I spent 40-50% of my time visiting with customers, potential customers, partners, to present product and product concepts, and discuss a potential business relationship.
