Daily Duties at New York Daily News:
Recruited me to deal with the unions and to correct the slow down and work stoppage. To evaluate the machinery and to install a maintenance program to minimize breakage and production down time. Manage all personnel issues (vacation, sick, personal days, etc.) in accordance with superintendent's guidelines. Oversee the daily upkeep of the necessary plant logs and records. Assist with the screening and hiring of all personnel. Completed all other tasks requested by Superintendent. Notify Superintendent of any health and safety departmental emergencies. Deal with all labor issues and to make Superintendent aware. Worked Directly with venders to insure proper products for our application. To maintain a safe and sound work environment. Ran the main production shifts to expedite production and completion times. Evaluated mechanical down and repaired machinery during production runs to maximize production output. Inform the Superintendent of any POs that must be approved for parts and supplies. Check and maintain all work orders on a daily basis. Report all labor issues on a shifts. Utilized matrix systems to eliminate start up problems.
