Daily Duties at Vocus Inc.:

•Hire, train, manage, and develop a team of 12-15 Business Development Associates whose daily activities include prospecting, cold calling and pitching Vocus software and consulting services •Promoted 8 BDAs to Sales Executive and Account Executive roles •Determine and monitor team’s key performance indicators (KPIs) such as calls, activities, lead conversion and close rate, providing detailed and accurate forecasting on a regular basis •Manage successful performance against team’s annual, quarterly, and monthly quotas which include both demo volume and revenue generated from demos •Interview and hire candidates to build and maintain a high-performing team •Conduct training and on-boarding monthly for new hires •Conduct one-on-one meetings to coach and mentor individual BDAs with focus on process management, Salesforce.com, communication skills, pipeline strategy, and metrics management •Work with senior management to identify low performers, present a plan for improvement, and top grade if plan is unsuccessful
