Daily Duties at Kaiser Permanente:

-Responsible for managing and overseeing all administrative, clinical, and technical functions within a high complexity, hospital based clinical laboratory -Responsible for Develop, administer, and maintain the laboratory quality assurance and compliance programs. - Serve as CLIA general and technical supervisor -Coordinates and oversees the technical quality control processes -Ensure laboratory's regulatory compliance with CAP accreditation, CLIA, JCAHO, AABB, Title 22, federal, state, and local requirements. - Write, approve all administrative and technical procedures in the laboraotry -Responsible for maintaining all accreditation, certification, and licensing applications and documents - Responsible for being point of contact for all laboratory inspections - Plan, write, implement all corrective actions in response to survey findings -Manage department human resource and personnel issues - maintain employee schedules - perform performance evaluations - develop ongoing education and staff competency plans -Manage department budget and allocation of resources
