Daily Duties at Kevin Burke Sales:
Sales Representative in the Virginia and West Virginia Markets. Managed Sales Territories for Multiple Companies over a 20 year period across different Segments. These include Sporting Goods, Team Equipment Dealers, Fan Specialty Shops, College Bookstores, Catalog Account, JC Penney Stores, Soccer Specialty Stores and Urban/Lifestyle Account Base. Responsibilities also included attending Trade Shows, Team Dealer Shows, Softball Tournaments, attending Sports League Organizations to promote my Product Lines/Companies and calling on High School and College Sports Teams. In representing so many different brands at the same time, I sold different product assortments. I sold Basketballs, Footballs, Softballs, Soccer Shoes, Tennis Shoes, Licensed Jackets and Activewear for Professional Sports Teams and Colleges, Custom Football, Basketball and Baseball Uniforms to High Schools and Colleges. Each company was different and had different product assortments. I had to have knowledge of the specifics of all of this product and how it relates to the Customer Segment I was selling. I represented very good companies but had alot of competition within these customer segments from other brands. It is with my product knowledge, superior customer service and follow that I was effectively able to enhance and grow the business in my territory for each of these brands. In some cases, I would have to make a sales call to a High School or College to drive the business into one of my dealers. That in turn opened the eyes of my dealers and gave them more focus to sell my products. This required daily follow up and attention representing six to seven companies at the same time in markets with alot of competition.
