Research, approach, and generate meetings with potential clients nationwide for company owners via custom packages that are shipped and "Cold Calls"; serve as board member and Director of Marketing, Fundraising, and Production of the Miss Virginia Scholarship Program (state Miss America prelim competition); improved image of entire organization by negotiating print pricing of a full color competition magazine lower than black and white printing, adhering to Miss America Organization's mission statement of providing community service and scholarships for young women; recruited as executive director of a 501C3 non profit organization, overseeing annual scholarship fundraising drives with statewide volunteers; manage television production team of 100 people including volunteers, contestants, paid broadcasting professionals, union members, and performers; negotiate costs and union fees and schedules with regional civic center staff for event venue; secure and manage dozens of volunteers year-round to work in tandem to ensure seamless schedule execution during pageant week that also includes scheduling with 100 other teens, preteens, and princesses (rehearsal schedules, production details for TV broadcast and world-wide webcast); manage $ 75,000 production budget; increase revenue by $ 10,000 annually by adding paid pre-pageant internet "People's Choice" vote; live paid text message "Viewer's Choice" during telecast/webcast; and adding / charging for webcast of all 3 competition nights, in addition to the two-hour LIVE final competition regional telecast with strong sponsors I secured like Geico insurance and several other regional businesses; decreased cash expenses by $ 10,000 by increasing # in-kind donors and sponsors
