Daily Duties at Uni First Corporation:

Use CMMS software for general upkeep and to ensure day to day operations of a 32,000 square foot facility. Through implementation of CMMS hardware, monitor and control costs associated with the day to day operations of the plant. Responsible for applying for necessary permits from the local municipalities in regards to waste water and also storm drains. Recorded all necessary information for local, state and Federal Tier 2 reports. Manage a workforce of over sixty two individuals to ensure that over 160,000 pounds of industrial laundry products and also 62,000 garments are processed every week. Enforced progressive discipline methods developed by Unifirst to ensure both productivity standards and also attendance standards are met for all Production employees. Responsible for hiring of all production employees as well as making sure that Unifirst meets all of the necessary requirements as an Equal Opportunity Employer. Act as the current OSHA trainer and also responsible for knowing current OSHA regulations and guide lines as it pertains to the industry. Using revenue and expense forecast, must determine amount of labor hours that need to be allocated to Production Department. Work with the General Manager to develop an annual budget for the Production Department. Participated in projects developed by the sales team to analyze market and economic conditions. These results are then analyzed to ensure growth for the facility for each fiscal year. Continually working with UniFirst Engineering on projects to ensure the facility stays with in all current OSHA regulations. These projects often include working with a facilities development team that performs structural improvements to the facility. Maintain inventories to ensure that over 20,000 customer’s needs of flat goods and garments are fulfilled on a weekly basis.
