Daily Duties at Mayo Clinic Mayo Medical Labs (Mml):
This position required me to be both proficient in the receipt and verification of diagnostic specimens received at MML along with the management and leadership of my team which consisted of anywhere from 5 to 10 people. I was responsible for managing my team's workflow along with various management duties. The ability to work as a member of team, providing leadership and knowledge of all processes and procedures was required. During our lab information system upgrade, I worked on a team to review and revise all of our processes and procedures to be compatible with the new system. This required me to learn the new system quickly so I could train others and also foresee any potential problems before the live date.
