Daily Duties at Liberty Hospital:
• Add measured medication or nutrients to intravenous solutions under sterile conditions to prepare intravenous (IV) piggy-backs and drips under pharmacist supervision. • Supply and monitor medication dispensing machines (Pyxis) throughout the hospital. • Stock anesthesia medications in all operating rooms each night. • Answer telephones, responding to questions or requests. • Active member of 797 Committee which ensured proper aseptic procedures within pharmacy and hospital wide, including testing fellow employees on their aseptic technique within the IV compounding hood.
