Daily Duties at Wal Mart:

AS the market HR manager for WalMart you are a HR generalist. So you must ensure that everything in regards to people is accurate and correct to guidelines set by company, state, and federal laws. * Ensure each store is staffed correctly. This will include each shift, FT/PT ratio, hourly supervisors, salaried management. * Ensure all associate evulations are covered and conducted on time and accurately. * Ensure schedules are keyed correctly and accurately 3 weeks in advance. They must be finalized in the system to the set goal hours. * Ensure all associate accountability is fair and consistent not only in each store, but across the market as well. * Ensure all associate files are set to guidelines and maintained and reviewed annually. * Ensure compliance laws are followed within the personnel departments. * Ensure all associates are complete with open enrollment in set time frame. * Ensure all training is conducted in the time frame allowed by the company. * Ensure all hourly supervisors positions are filled. * Ensure all salaried management positions are filled. * Recruit and hire management associates. * Ensure all salaried management is trained prior to arriving in the stores. * Ensure and conduct follow up training with salaried management as mandated by the home office. * Act as the liaison between the store management and home office to resolve any issues at market level. * Act as open door for associate contact as concerns and questions arise. * Drive associate engagement in the stores through the personnel office as well as the store management. * Drive or direct investigations or harassment or discrimination. * Support asset protection for associate investigations. * On call for store management contact as needed. * Conduct weekly calls with personnel office associates and store management. * Support Market Manager.
