Daily Duties at Freestone Construction Llc:
My responsibilitles vary from day to day. My responsibilities range from supervision of subcontractors and employees, to ensuring safe work practices, to heavy equipment operating, to hands on "in the trenches" labor. Whatever it takes to complete the job. My typical day starts out by filling out a job safety analysis for the scope of work for the day and leading our daily safety meeting. Then I will go over the scope of work with the Stat Oil consultant (or whoever the onsite manager is for the general contractor or developer) and one of my superior managers. I will review the construction documents and lay out trenches, footings, or whatever the scope of work demands for the day, and then ensure that the crew completes the work correctly, with quality and in a timely fashion. I will manage, coordinate, and orchistrate all of the day to day aspects of the job. Then I will get the crew lined out on there daily tasks and on the jobs where I have time, I will operate equipment and jump in and labor with the guys as often as possible. I believe in leading by example. I will never ask someone to do a job that I have not done myself, or am not willing to do.
