Daily Duties at Pennsylvania Department Of The Auditor General:
I managed the Bureau of Liquor & Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Audits and supervise 75 employees, which conducted financial and compliance audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Standards. I managed the Department’s “Taxpayer Hotline” which received and responded to taxpayer complaints regarding waste, fraud and abuse. I conducted research on public policy issues and worked with the Office of Policy and Planning. I served as a member of the Auditor General Minority and Women Business Enterprise Committee: responsible for developing a “taskforce” on Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program. I served as a liaison between the Auditor General and various public interest groups and associations such as law enforcement organizations, health care advocates, school boards, senior citizens groups and labor unions. I also acted as an arbitration for police pension fund cases.
